Stanford High-Throughput Bioscience Center (HTBC)
http://htbc.stanford.edu
The HTBC enables Stanford faculty and students to fully exploit recent advances in genetics and chemical biology, such as the sequencing of entire genomes, the development of duplex RNA-based reagents for gene silencing, and the discovery of biologically active compounds through chemical library screens. Systematic and comprehensive studies of biological systems using these advances requires the robotic automation of experimental procedures, and specialized instruments for these tasks are available for community-wide use through the HTBC. The HTBC will also serve as a Stanford-wide repository for genetic and chemical reagents that are appropriate for high-throughput experiments.
